New care standards launched across Trust’s community mental health services
Community Nursing Fundamentals of Care Standards Live launch
Community mental health nurses across Adult Community Mental Health Services (ACMHS) in Hertfordshire came together for the launch of their Community Nursing Fundamentals of Care (FoC) Standards Live.
The room was full of energy as colleagues heard how, for the first time in HPFT adult community mental health nursing, clinical data from all depot and clozapine clinics is now available electronically and centrally.
This achievement is the result of a fantastic collaboration led by the Community Clinical Matrons and Head of Nursing, alongside an expert by experience, clinical nurse specialists, adult community pharmacists, and the PARIS and IT teams.
Clear, evidence-based safety and quality standards for depot and clozapine clinics will now help the team deliver the highest quality of care for service users, while the use of digital data ensures that nurse-led interventions are more effective, impactful, and targeted to where they are needed most.
As Prashant Sanghani, HPFT’s Chief Pharmacist, shared: “Having this live clinical information gives us the ability to make real-time improvements, focusing on what matters most—in the present and the future”.
