Ypsomed announced as Insulin Safety Week sponsor

Insulin Safety Week 2023 participants

Developer and manufacturer of injection and infusion systems Ypsomed announced as Insulin Safety Week 2024 sponsor – supporting efforts to reduce errors within the profession.

Created to raise awareness of insulin safety within the healthcare community, Insulin Safety Week returns this year with a focus on the safe use of diabetes technology – ensuring diabetes experts and non-specialists are fully prepared for the phased roll out of hybrid closed loop systems.

Joseph Wales, General Manager, Ypsomed United Kingdom said: “We are thrilled to be part of Insulin Safety Week, celebrating the advancements in diabetes technology. Given the NICE TA on HCL systems, this is an especially significant time for people with type 1 and their healthcare teams.”

Event manager Emily Mayhew said: “Insulin Safety Week is an important opportunity for healthcare staff to come together and strengthen their knowledge and understanding of insulin therapy.

“Free to take part and open to all healthcare professionals working in diabetes care, the campaign held July 1 to 7, will provide comprehensive resources to help increase understanding of the new technology.”
