The management of older people living with type 2 diabetes will be the focus of a forthcoming webinar this month.
Sponsored by A. Menarini Farmaceutica Internazionale SRL (Menarini), the virtual event will take an evidence-informed and person-centred approach to individualising HbA1c targets in older people living with the condition.
Entitled ‘One size does not fit all’, the webinar will be held for an hour on Thursday, March 30, at 7pm.
The session will be led by Dr Kevin Fernando, a partner of North Berwick Health Centre, who has a special interest in diabetes.
At the end of the webinar, delegates will have learned about:

· How common is diabetes and frailty in the older person
· The evidence behind HbA1c targets in the older person living with type 2 diabetes
· Target setting, recommended interventions and treatment goals in older people living with type 2 diabetes.
During the session, a short promotional video address from the webinar sponsor, Menarini, will be shown.
