Financial help for community nurses affected by storm Babet
The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) has opened a fund to support community nurses who have been affected by the recent flooding caused by Storm Babet.
The flooding in the wake of Storm Babet has affected parts of the UK, especially in the counties of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Suffolk and they have declared major incidents in response to the extensive flooding.
The charity is offering up to £500 to any affected nurse who works in the community, including general practice nurses, district nurses, care home nurses, school nurses, health visitors and others.
To receive the funds, nurses will need their manager’s verification that they are currently working as a nurse in the community and that they have been impacted by the flood.
