embecta announced as Insulin Safety Week sponsor

Global medical technology company embecta announced as Insulin Safety Week 2024 sponsor – supporting efforts to reduce errors within the profession.

Created to raise awareness of insulin safety within the healthcare community, Insulin Safety Week returns this year with a focus on the safe use of diabetes technology – ensuring diabetes experts and non-specialists are fully prepared for the phased roll out of hybrid closed loop systems.

Event manager Emily Mayhew said: “Insulin Safety Week is an important opportunity for healthcare staff to come together and strengthen their knowledge and understanding of insulin therapy.

“Free to take part and open to all healthcare professionals working in diabetes care, the campaign held from Monday, July 1, to Sunday, July 7, will provide comprehensive resources to help increase understanding of the new technology.”

Determined to improve the lives of those living with diabetes, embecta is committed to being a trusted safety partner for diabetes injections and offers a multifaceted approach supported by comprehensive resources, education, and training.
