Community Nursing roles to be showcased at recruitment fair

A leading provider of community health services in the northwest of England is holding a recruitment fair this week.

Teams from Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will hold the event on Thursday, December 1, to introduce visitors to a range of exciting opportunities, including positions in Community Nursing.

The Trust’s teams are keen to hear from both people with NHS experience and those without.

Director of People and Organisational Development at Bridgewater Community Healthcare Paula Woods said: “The opportunities are endless. We have vacancies for community nursing staff, health care assistants, therapists, administrators and so much more including information on upcoming apprenticeship opportunities.

“The NHS apprenticeship programmes provide many thousands of people with the opportunity to become a part of the NHS – learning and working and making a difference to patients’ lives.

“Many people are unaware of the vast array of career opportunities within the NHS. We hope our careers event will open people’s eyes to the many exciting and diverse roles available.

“Our staff are our greatest asset and provide fantastic care and support to adults and children throughout Halton and beyond.

“We pride ourselves on our flexible and supportive approach and would love to see people at our careers fair so they might see for themselves some of the many exciting clinical and non-clinical opportunities available to them.”

Staff will be on-hand to guide and help people through the NHS application process and explain how they can become a part of an organisation that supports thousands of people in their local community.

The Trust’s staff work in health centres, clinics and patients’ homes throughout Halton. They also work in neighbouring Warrington and beyond. The Trust provides a wide range of services from community nursing, occupational therapy and specialist dental care.

Behind the scenes there are opportunities to join its non-clinical and support teams that provide invaluable assistance to clinicians and advise on a wide range of issues from human resources, IT and communications.

Bridgewater has a preceptorship programme for newly registered staff and all staff can access a suite of additional employee benefits to help them better balance their home and work commitments.

The event will take place at Hillcrest Hotel in Widnes between 1pm and 7pm.
